Digital Prefab & Construction Management

Digital prefab & construction management, through BIM and a connected data environment, enables broad and detailed views of all phases of a project, helping mitigate and handle issues that reduce the results of a project.

An important advantage of a complete digital construction process is its ability to be both predictive and reactive. We can work more efficiently by combining engineering work on various subjects like technical details, structural analysis or prefab of building components within the BIM. The model is gradually developed and matured until the end of the project lifecycle. Because models are continuously updated during construction, problems can be captured early so they can be quickly solved. And with the addition of time, costing, and quantities, BIM’s can control most aspects of the project life cycle.

Building Information Modelling (BIM)

BIM is a method of constructing and operating buildings through smart digital tools. It directs all technical and administrative activities through a continuous, integrated and value-added process often with many different stakeholders involved. A virtual representation of the building is at the heart of this method.

Based on the existing BIM, AEC Prefab develop the digital foundation for efficient prefabrication and fast construction at the building site. We essentially build the details at fabrication level into the BIM at mm tolerances.

Detailed information on components and shapes for precast, steel and wood structures are built into the BIM for later export to manufacturing drawings that can be handled by the manufacturers in your regional area, allowing your company to order prefabricated designs for your specific projects. In this way, your company can take part in the front end development of the construction industry.

Structural Analysis & Design

Structural design is the methodical investigation of the stability, strength and rigidity of structures. AEC Prefab carry out structural engineering to document the required levels of safety for buildings.

AEC Prefab can perform structural design for buildings applying concrete, steel or wood, often a combination of the materials, as the primary loadbearing structure.

Concrete Structure Design

Reinforced concrete design including analysis of the structure to reveal the forces to be applied in the design of the various RC sections. We include the design of RC solid slabs, as well as prefabricated concrete elements for walls, floors, roofs, beams and columns.

We design for prefabricated and precast construction, which is the manufacturing of products in a pre-made cast or mold and then, after being cured in a controlled environment, transporting it to the construction site for final assembly.

Timber Structure Design

Timer structures can be designed as framed structures using platform building techniques, as cross-laminated wood structures, often in combination with glue-laminated columns and beams. The key issue is that AEC Prefab can include any type of prefabricated wood structure to satisfy our customers wishes. The optimal structure can be optimized on building parts and component level.

Steel Structure Design

We provide structural analysis and detail design of steel structures, with members and connections. Often steel structures are designed in combination with wood and concrete structures.
